Master Hwang's World Martial Arts Center Professional Instructors
All martial arts instructors at Master Hwang's World Martial Arts Center in Fountain Valley, CA are trained to ensure that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun.
Our instructors and instructor assistants are trained to focus on more than just teaching martial arts skills. Master Hwang's World Martial Arts Center staff also are taught how to work with all students, tailoring their martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual child.
Emphasis is put on encouragement and positive correction.
We are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.
Through weekly martial arts training, instructors advance their own knowledge, skills, and abilities to become even more effective martial arts teachers.
The Master Hwang's World Martial Arts Center instructors are required to maintain their personal level of martial arts knowledge and a high level of personal growth. They are expected to take classes on a regular basis and test at least once per year.

Master Ryan Cloud, 4th Dan, started training in martial arts at the age of seven and stared started teaching classes at 12. Specializing in demonstration and sparring, Master Ryan hosts seminars and coaches the tournament team. He has competed in countless competitions including U.S. Junior Olympics, ATU Nationals and U.S. Open. Master Ryan has been serving the community with Grand Master Hwang for over 18 years.
Instructor Thomas, 3rd Dan, started training in martial arts as an adult and has been teaching for over 5 years. With a BS degree in Human Services, he has experience helping students with special needs in the Long Beach School District. At the studio, Instructor Thomas enjoys honing students’ mental and physical discipline. Instructor Thomas serves at a local church and has been training with Grand Master Hwang since 2011.
Grand Master Hwang is from South Korea with over 40 years of martial arts experience. He has been teaching since 1989 and has a 8th Dan in Taekwondo and Hapkido.
